East Troy
Alpine Valley
Alpine features over 100 skiable acres with 20 runs that range from beginner to expert and vertical drop of 388 feet. The longest run is 3,000 feet. The hill also includes three terrain parks, offering a variety of rails, boxes, and snow features.

Big Foot Beach State Park
Located on the shores of Lake Geneva, Big Foot Beach State Park offers 5 miles of hiking trails, a family campground, a swimming beach and picnic and playground areas. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are popular in winter.

Fontana
Duck Pond
Duck Pond Recreation Area is located on Wild Duck Road, off Highway 67. The park contains numerous hiking trails. Cross country skiing allowed on the recreation trails. Bring your own skis; weather permitting.

Whitewater
Kettle Moraine Southern Unit, Nordic Trails
Designed by a member of the Nordic Ski Club in Milwaukee, the Nordic Trail features more than 29 kilometers (portions of trails overlap) of groomed trails through a wonderful variety of terrain and scenery. The majority of the terrain is flat to gently rolling and, when there is adequate snow, this is one of the better novice and intermediate level trail systems in the state for both classic and skate skiers. The trails meander through a nice variety of scenery that includes stands of mixed hardwoods, pine plantations, and open fields.
